Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and personable Student Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as a key point of contact for students, providing guidance, support, and information to help them succeed academically and personally. This role involves engaging with students to understand their needs, offering tailored advice, and fostering a positive environment that encourages student retention and success. A background in customer service, sales, or automotive experience is a plus, as it enhances the ability to connect with diverse student populations and promote available resources effectively.

Duties

Assist students in navigating academic programs, resources, and support services Provide personalized guidance to help students achieve their educational goals Promote campus programs, workshops, and extracurricular activities to increase student engagement Handle inquiries related to admissions, registration, and other student services Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress Upsell additional services or programs that benefit students' academic journey Manage cash handling responsibilities related to payments or registration fees Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure a cohesive support system for students Participate in outreach efforts to recruit prospective students and retain current students

Qualifications

Prior experience in dealership or automotive sales is advantageous, especially with mechanical knowledge or mechanic experience Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically Sales experience with a focus on upselling and product promotion Knowledge of automotive repair processes is a plus but not required Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously Previous experience in a similar advisory or support role is preferred but not mandatory
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 37.5 per week
