Job #2023-015 Positions available: 2 Hourly rate starts at $16.66 plus 4% vacation pay. Plus, an extra $1 per hour for returning students per year of experience up to $19.66 per hour. Posting closing date: when filled. Expected start date: May 1, 2023. Clearview Township is seeking four (4) Student Roads Workers from early May to early September 2023. To be eligible to apply for a summer student position, you must meet the following criteria:
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada as a student as required for the Canada Summer Jobs government program.
  • At time of this application, you must be enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program and have full intentions of returning to full-time studies in the fall of 2023 (information will be verified at time of consideration).
Responsibilities Responsible for assisting with construction traffic control and with general road maintenance duties. Qualifications and Abilities required
  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Civil Engineering program is preferable.
  • Previous experience working in construction or agriculture is preferable.
  • Must by physically able to perform duties pertaining to road maintenance and construction.
  • Experience working with the public considered an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Valid Class G2 driver\xe2\x80\x99s license in good standing.
