The Student Recruitment Officer is a member of CPA Alberta's Student Recruitment team, which focuses on raising awareness of the CPA profession and the benefits of becoming a CPA with stakeholders, particularly post-secondary and high school students. The Student Recruitment Officer develops relationships and liaises with students, educators, and counsellors/advisors, to keep them apprised of the path to, and benefits of, a career as a CPA. They also assist with determining goals, targets, messaging, and activities that will help CPA Alberta raise awareness of the CPA designation and recruit students into the CPA profession.
This position reports to the Manager of Student Recruitment.
CPA Alberta has offices in Edmonton and Calgary and provides hybrid Telecommuting opportunities (working from home a maximum of 3 days a week).

What you bring
A degree or diploma in a relevant subject, or at least four years' experience working in a similar role (relevant subject areas include, but are not limited to Business, Accounting, Marketing, or Communications).
A minimum of two years of relevant experience such as recruitment, marketing and communications, or business development is desirable.
Strong presentation skills for various sized audiences.
Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or other presentation software.
Strong attention to detail in all areas of work.
Demonstrated ability to adjust plans and priorities to work efficiently and effectively in changing situations.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Good problem identification and resolution skills.
Strong customer-service orientation with ability to build good working relationships with different stakeholders.
Build good morale and cooperation, and foster a climate of trust, within the work team.
Demonstrate sensitivity to the fundamental values of CPA Alberta.
Intermediate level of proficiency in working with databases, CRM, or SIS.
A class 5 driver's license and access to reliable transportation is an asset.
What you will be doing
Develop and maintain a network of key contacts primarily in the high school and post-secondary stakeholder groups.
Deliver information sessions and presentations to various sized audiences; represent CPA Alberta with professionalism at public events.
Explore new initiatives and avenues for promoting the CPA designation, including advertising.
Provide excellent customer service and advising to prospective candidates.
Plan and execute projects and events.
Maintain a level of knowledge of CPA programs and CPAWSB's (CPA Western School of Business) policies and processes.

Working Specifications
This position is located in our Edmonton office.
Travel is required to various locations in the city for meetings and events.
Some short travel, possibly including overnight, required within the province.
Occasional work outside of normal business hours may be required.
