Tasks

Develop communication strategies Implement communication strategies and programs Prepare written material such as reports, briefs, website content Provide consultation on planning and starting of new businesses. Supervise professional and support staff and students Write speeches, presentations and press releases Answer written and oral inquiries Prepare and/or deliver educational, publicity and information programs, materials and sessions Design market research questionnaires Develop portfolio of marketing materials Administer and interpret standardized intelligence, aptitude and interest tests Refer students to other specialized services when required Prepare and deliver presentations at conferences, workshops and symposia Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences and workshops Develop guidance and counselling programs Counsel students regarding personal and social issues Consult with teachers, parents, administrators and community agencies Co-ordinate the provision of counselling and information services to students, parents and teachers Visit colleges and secondary schools to provide academic information to prospective students, their parents and educational institutions Counsel students regarding educational, career or vocational issues Attend educational conferences and workshops
