Job Summary:
The Humanities and Social Sciences Library is currently seeking a student worker to help the Data Librarian in uploading a CD-ROM collection of datasets to SharePoint and describing its contents, updating online subject guides, and updating an online tutorial. The job would entail uploading files, reading documentation, copying and pasting web page content, conducting web research to update dead links, and working with HTML. Basic knowledge of HTML is required. Any additional training will be provided. This position is for 10 hours per week in the Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 semesters. Some activities can be completed remotely if desired and other tasks will require working on site.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:Basic knowledge of how to enter and edit web page content in HTML.
Problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail.
Self-motivated.
Knowledge of French is an asset but not required. McGill University is an English-language university where day-to-day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level # (3) on a scale of 0-4 Other languages an asset.
