Job Summary


The Student Coordinator plays a vital role in enhancing the educational experience of students by providing support, guidance, and resources. This position involves working closely with students to help them navigate their academic journey, ensuring they have access to necessary information and services. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and committed to fostering a positive learning environment.

Duties



Serve as the primary point of contact for students, addressing inquiries and providing information about academic programs and resources. Maintain accurate records of student interactions and program participation for reporting purposes. Assist in the development of promotional materials to inform students about upcoming events and opportunities.

Knowledge



At least one year of current related experience in project coordination or management or scheduling Experience engaging with organizational partners Demonstrated leadership and communication skills (both written and verbal) Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Knowledge of electronic documentation Previous use of computer software applications (e.g., Microsoft Suite)

Responsibilities



Develop new or maintain existing partnerships with colleges and universities for the successful Assist in collecting and processing mandatory documentation required from students and assist is determining schedules for students. Plan and execute orientation to the LTC home, including, but not limited to, providing tours and introducing students to residents and team members Promote and recruit team members into a preceptor role Coordinate the placement schedule and pair students with preceptor team members in consultation Liaise with LTC-home preceptors to ensure they have the knowledge and resources to support students Inform students of available employment opportunities in the home, and participate in recruiting students to positions post-placement Monitor student feedback to continuously improve services and programs offered. Assist in reviewing organizational Policies Facilitate mandatory education online for all staff May include tasks like answering phones, responding to inquiries, and providing general administrative support.

Requirements



Post secondary education preferred but not required. Strong communication skills with the ability to educate diverse groups effectively. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Proficient in using technology for communication and record-keeping purposes. Previous experience in an educational setting or student support role is a plus but not mandatory.
This position is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about education and dedicated to making a difference in students' lives through coordinated support and resources.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $23.05-$23.75 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 32 per week
