Job Description
The Department of Modern Languages has openings for up to 9 Student Laboratory Assistants to perform various duties connected with the Language Laboratory in French and in Spanish.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attending training and orientation sessions
- Assisting professors in language lab learning activities for beginners and proctoring virtual lab work
- With the aid of a marking template, scanning assignments to provide feedback of preliminary grade recommendations
For the French Labs:
- Applicants normally will be third- or fourth-year students in French and/or have a strong background in French
- Strong interpersonal skills are required
- Reliability and dependability are a must
- Applicants normally will be third- or fourth-year students in Spanish and/or have a strong background in Spanish
- Strong interpersonal skills are required
- Reliability and dependability are a must
Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
