We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counselor to join our team. The Counselor will play a crucial role in fostering a safe and supportive environment for children in need.

Duties

Provide individual and group counseling sessions to children, focusing on emotional, social, and behavioral development. Conduct assessments to identify the needs of clients and develop personalized treatment plans. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for each child. Maintain accurate records of client progress, including data collection and documentation of sessions. Engage in case management activities to coordinate services and resources for clients. Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with healthcare professionals regarding patient care. Stay informed about best practices in special education, pediatrics, and mental health interventions through ongoing research and professional development.

Experience

A background in special education or experience working with children is highly desirable. Familiarity with data collection methods and research practices related to child development is beneficial. Previous experience in patient care or case management within a hospital or clinical setting is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset for effective communication within multidisciplinary teams.
