Student Coordinator

to join our College.

POSITION SUMMARY



The

Student Coordinator (SPU)

will support the SDF Program Manager in all the administrative and academic tasks of the SDF team. He/She will be responsible for coordinating instructors and student needs, supporting faculty operations, ensuring smooth student transitions through admissions, academics, placements, and into employment. The Student Coordinator will foster strong internal and external relationships to enhance student outcomes, maintain compliance, and promote institutional goals.

The

Student Coordinator (SPU)

will be responsible for providing support to students who were unable to attend live orientation sessions by offering instruction, direction, and technical support. They will often communicate with customers over the phone or through email.

On top of dealing directly with students and/or customers, the

Student Coordinator

(SPU)

works with a variety of supervisors and members of management to optimize customer care.

DUTIES



Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Assist the SDF Program Manager with administrative and coordination tasks. Prepare students for practicum placements with the goal of achieving 100% on-time placement. Identify and secure suitable practicum opportunities through outreach to employer partners. Conduct site visits at placement locations and prepare detailed student progress reports. Track student placement attendance and follow up on any attendance or performance concerns. Maintain compliance and accurate documentation using the internal system (Campus Login). Follow up with graduates regarding employment status and update records accordingly. Participate in student and alumni events such as graduations and special ceremonies. Generate academic and career service reports regularly and as requested. Represent the college in community outreach to promote programs and partnerships. Provide backup and cross-functional support to colleagues in related departments. Assist in faculty scheduling, attendance, timetables, and other academic operations. Serve as the main point of contact for instructors regarding schedules, attendance, and academic concerns. Provide frontline customer service support to instructors via phone, email, and in person. Maintain accurate and up-to-date student files from admission through to employment. Support students by conducting class audits and maintaining regular communication about progress. Collaborate with departments such as Admissions, Student Success, HR, Finance, Operations, and Compliance.

Qualifications, Requirements and Skills:



Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline such as Human Resources, Office Administration, Social Work, Business, or Career Development Practitioner with 1+ year industry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred Experience working within a post-secondary institution managing student placement services or providing newcomer support services is highly desirable. Proven experience using a Student Information Systems (SIS) and/or a similar database system preferred. Experience working with community organizations, schools, private college or similar education institutions is desirable. Proven experience drafting complex documents, reports and communications for a variety of audiences. Attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Good interpersonal and analytical skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Proficiency in MS Office. Ability to adapt to new and emerging technologies and maintain a database.

Pay: $49,440.00 per year
