Student, Advanced Analytics (12 months)

How youll make an impact:
The Advanced Analytics team within Fidelity Canada ULCs finance department supports various business units and the senior executive team at fulfilling advanced analytical and reporting requirements. In collaboration with various IT teams, the Advanced Analytics team works with internal clients on embedding data driven insights into day-to-day decision making at all levels of the business, establishing, and tracking key metrics, as well as identifying and communicating significant business trends.
The Student, Advanced Analytics role will support various line of business in gathering, organizing, and analyzing data that can be leveraged to provide the firm with valuable and unique business insights.

• Assist Advanced Analytics Teams with the day-to-day analytical task.
• Support Sales and Marketing targeted campaigns, such as audience list creation and post campaigns performance analysis.
• Complete ad-hoc requests for analysis, data extraction and information gathering.
• Maintain dashboards or create visualization to track key performance metrics.
• Help with requirement gathering from business partners and aid Sr Analysts in analysis, data engineering and solution development.
• Participate in customer level analytical projects.
• R&D new analytical tools and techniques

What were looking for:

• Working towards a university degree (Data Analytics, Math/Statistics or Engineering)
• Some knowledge of statistical modelling/analytical skills
• Solid interpersonal and organizational skills combined with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing business environments, have a strong desire to learn.
• Some practical experience in SQL; Programming Language (Python/Java); Visualization Software (Tableau/PowerBI); Proficiency in Microsoft Suites (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to communicate quantitative data into a visually engaging story.
• Genuine interest in capital markets, financial industry, banking, future state of technology like artificial intelligence & machine learning

You will be working on a flexible hybrid schedule as part of Fidelitys dynamic working arrangement.
Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.
