We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cable Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various cable systems, including telecommunications, CCTV, and computer networking infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience with low voltage systems, and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. Duties
Install, repair, and maintain cable systems such as telecommunication lines, CCTV cameras, and computer networks.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform installations and repairs.
Conduct testing of low voltage systems including sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and other security devices.
Troubleshoot electrical issues related to cable infrastructure and resolve problems efficiently.
Assist in the setup of computer hardware and network configurations as needed.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and electrical codes.
Document work performed accurately for maintenance records.
Skills
Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams.
Experience with construction practices related to cable installation projects.
Knowledge of electrical systems, low voltage wiring, and power tools operation.
Familiarity with CCTV systems, sensors, IDS, and telecommunication infrastructure.
Strong understanding of computer hardware setup and computer networking principles.
Mechanical knowledge for handling various hand tools and power tools safely.
Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on troubleshooting electrical and network issues.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
