DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES As a member of our Building Service team, your duties will include, but are not limited to: \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee and help perform on-site investigation of building cladding systems, roofs, underground parking garages and other structures to evaluate issues and develop reports for Builders, landlords and other stakeholders; \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist with site reviews of in-progress wood framed structures; \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist with completion of property condition assessments of a range properties including residential high rise, industrial and commercial; \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide guidance and oversight of junior and intermediate staff; \xe2\x80\xa2 Help draft final reports and communicate the results of reviews to the client, including meetings with clients as needed; \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide cost estimates for the work identified during condition assessments and investigations; \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide input, as required, on all aspects of the work in terms of an overall efficiency, creativity and technical knowledge, and; \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform other duties as may be required from time to time. QUALIFICATIONS \xe2\x80\xa2 In depth knowledge of Construction Systems and assemblies; \xe2\x80\xa2 Comprehensive knowledge of building envelope systems; \xe2\x80\xa2 High degree of experience with a wide range of building envelope wall systems in the BC climate; \xe2\x80\xa2 Completion of post-secondary education (college or university) in a related field (civil/structural engineering, building or architectural science.
Mechanical engineering or an applied science); \xe2\x80\xa2 Professional Engineer designation would be considered an asset; \xe2\x80\xa2 Over 10 years of experience in commercial/industrial/residential construction and consulting; \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent verbal & written Communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to find positive solutions to complex and sensitive issues; \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities within a complex and growing organization; \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in MS Office Suite; \xe2\x80\xa2 Must have a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license/insurance and be willing to travel.
