Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in structural steel construction estimating and project management, with proficiency in tools such as Bluebeam and StruMIS. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in analyzing project specifications, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring that projects are completed within budgetary constraints. Your negotiation skills will be essential in securing favorable pricing and terms with suppliers and subcontractors.

Duties

Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects. Utilize Bluebeam and StruMIS software for takeoffs and estimating processes. Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and scope. Conduct thorough market research to determine pricing trends for materials and labor. Prepare detailed bid proposals that outline costs, timelines, and project deliverables. Negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors to achieve the best value for the company. Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and contracts for future reference. Assist in the development of project budgets and financial forecasts.

Experience

Proven experience in structural steel construction estimating or a related field is required. Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam and StruMIS is highly desirable. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving favorable outcomes. Excellent project management abilities with attention to detail. Familiarity with construction processes, materials, and industry standards is essential. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
