We are seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer, P.Eng with a strong background in wood design, and who is a motivated team player and emerging leader, to join our team in Abbotsford, BC.
You will play a key technical role in a wide range of Residential and Commercial projects across British Columbia, serving a diverse group of clients from the proposal stage through project delivery.
Requirements:
Experience with wood, steel, and concrete design (Tilt-up building experience is an asset)
8+ years of experience in civil engineering or project management
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with the structural design team and clients throughout the design process
Ability to review drawings and shop drawings for compliance with structural design and the BC Building Code
Ability to address construction issues, assist clients, and provide clear, practical solutions
Able to perform and prepare field reviews
Able to review field reports completed by EITs and technicians
Willingness and ability to mentor EITs
Proficient in AutoCAD
Experience preparing technical reports
Valid Class 5 driver's license
