The Structural Engineer is responsible for providing structural engineering support to the design and estimating teams. This position reports to the Manager, Structural Design & Engineering

What You Get to Do:

Provides Structural Engineering support and advice to the design and estimating groups Structural design (wood, concrete, steel) Geotechnical interpretation and foundation design, Site grading and drainage Work and collaborate with multiple disciplines including Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical Structural review of production and vendor drawings where required Ensures that proper engineering and QMS procedures and principles are maintained and followed Structural inspections during plant production and on site as required Reviewing and interpreting of Building codes Provide construction support to the manufacturing plants and site trades Other duties as assigned

Who You Are:

A minimum of 4 years of Structural Engineering experience with Structural/Civil Engineering degree (B.Sc. or higher) from a recognized post-secondary institution EIT or P.Eng. status with APEGA Wood design experience is an asset Revit familiarity is a strong asset Proficient using structural analysis programs Self-starter and highly motivated with superior organizational, planning and time management skills Proficient use of MS Office applications
