Job Description

We are seeking a Structural EIT/Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in structural design and analysis, with a strong technical background in engineering principles and software applications. This position offers an opportunity to work on complex infrastructure projects and develop expertise in structural design within the water industry.


Key Responsibilities:

Perform structural analysis and design for various projects, with a focus on water and wastewater treatment plants. Prepare design calculations, reports, and construction drawings. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers. Utilize structural design software such as SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD Pro, and AutoCAD/Revit for modeling and detailing. Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, including CSA design codes. Provide technical support during construction, including reviewing shop drawings and responding to RFIs.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering. Minimum 2+ years of experience in structural engineering. Eligible for EIT/P.Eng registration with EGBC.

Preferred Qualifications

4+ years of experience in Water/Wastewater structural engineering Strong proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD Pro, Revit, and AutoCAD. Familiarity with CSA design codes; knowledge of ACI 350 is an asset. Experience in water and wastewater treatment plant projects is an advantage. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.
