We are a Montreal-based importer of quality foods from Italy and Europe. We are proud to supply the best restaurants and gourmet groceries in Montreal, Toronto and Canada.

We are currently looking for a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our growing team.

Here are the details:

Languages:


English (fluent) and Italian (fluent): essential for supplier communication and document translation.
French: an asset.

Education:


Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Food Technology, or related field.

Experience:


Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in food innovation, product management, and digital transformation within international markets.

Work setting:



Importer and distributor of Italian and European gourmet foods Office environment with hybrid options Interaction with suppliers and trade fairs in Europe

Work conditions and physical capabilities:


Fast-paced environment, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple international projects simultaneously.

Tasks and responsibilities



Lead the creation and implementation of Cucina Fine Foods' e-commerce platform, ensuring full integration with existing programs, logistics, and CRM systems.

Develop automation processes for order management, supplier coordination, and inventory control.

Evaluate possible ERP and CRM upgrades with cost-benefit analysis.

Help manage new product development under Cucina Fine Foods' own private label, including concept creation, sourcing, regulatory compliance, and packaging innovation.

Check European supplier regulations and labeling requirements for import to Canada.

Optimize internal workflows to improve operational efficiency across purchasing, logistics, and client management.

Liaise directly with Italian and European suppliers to secure exclusive partnerships and new product categories.

Manage compliance with international certifications (IFS, BRC, Organic, Gluten-Free).

Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify emerging food trends and business opportunities.

Develop brand and go-to-market strategies for new and existing products.

Train internal staff on new systems and processes related to digital transformation.

Report progress to senior management, providing strategic recommendations and performance metrics.

Experience and specialization



Computer and technology knowledge:



ERP systems for a food company CRM and project management tools (Asana, Notion) Digital marketing and e-commerce platforms (Shopify, woocommerce) Microsoft 365 Suite

Food product innovation and new product development International supplier relations (Italy, Europe, Mediterranean area) Digital transformation and automation for SMEs Sustainable and green packaging initiatives Quality certifications (BRC, IFS)
