Position Scope:
We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as our Strategic Initiatives Coordinator. The successful candidate will oversee a two-year project focused on implementing a feminist and decolonized approach to grow and enhance our organizational capacity. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the engagement of external consultants to develop a comprehensive Board of Directors Manual and review/update organizational policies.
  • Facilitate our strategic planning process with the support of a consultant, ensuring alignment with feminist and decolonized principles and incorporating community input.
  • Coordinate our marketing and communications efforts, including re-branding and raising public awareness of MSWC\'s work with support from a marketing agency.
  • Lead the development and execution of an impact measurement strategy in collaboration with an external consultant, ensuring alignment with project objectives and organizational goals.
  • Implement new HR management software, coordinate staff training, and ensure smooth adaptation to organizational updates.
  • Provide oversight of all project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Support hiring initiatives, including recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes for relevant positions.
  • Assist the Executive Director in building external relationships, with community, government, corporate and philanthropic stakeholders.
  • Explore opportunities for fund diversification and assist in developing a fundraising strategy.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement communications plans to promote project objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Communications, Humanities, Social Work) or equivalent experience. (Master\'s considered asset)
  • Proven experience in project coordination or management, preferably in a nonprofit or community-based organization.
  • Knowledge of Feminist Theory, Trauma-Informed Approach, Anti-Racist and Anti-Oppressive Frameworks
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively and independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using Google Workspace, Canva, and social media platforms.
Hours of Work:
This is primarily a remote work position, which means that the successful candidate will have the flexibility to work from home or any location of their choice. Some travel may be required. Temporary office space can be explored if hybrid work is required or preferred. Salary:
The salary for this position is $65,000 per year, plus MERCs. In addition, the position includes comprehensive benefits and leave entitlements." Duration:
