The Opportunity:

The Strategic Change and Engagement Advisor serves as a pivotal link within the City's Enterprise Strategy Office, leading enterprise level initiatives that drive organizational change and strategic alignment across departments. This role facilitates collaboration, navigates stakeholder interests, and fosters an inclusive environment to ensure the City's strategic vision and objectives are effectively communicated and embraced across the organization. By engaging internal partners and providing change management expertise, the Advisor plays a critical role in guiding the organization through transitions that support Red Deer's long-term goals, such as Red Deer 2050 and the priorities outlined in the City Council's Strategic Plan.

As our preferred candidate, you will have:

A bachelor's degree in organizational development, Public Administration, Business, or a related field; a Master's degree or additional certifications in change management, facilitation, or stakeholder engagement would be considered an asset. At least seven years of experience in change management, organizational development, or strategic facilitation within government or other complex organizational settings. Expertise in change management methodologies and stakeholder engagement, especially within governmental or municipal settings. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, capable of navigating diverse priorities and building relationships across multiple departments. Proficiency in designing and facilitating workshops and strategic discussions Analytical mindset for measuring engagement and adoption metrics. High degree of adaptability and resilience, with experience in environments requiring diplomacy and a strategic perspective on change.

Remuneration:

$51.23 to $64.03 per hour.


$100,275 to $125,344 per annum.

Hours of Work:

75 hours biweekly, Monday to Friday. Some evening and weekend work may be required.

Additional Information:

The term of this position is anticipated to be approximately 12 months in duration.
