Summary:

In your role as a Storyboard Artist, you will collaborate with the Directors and the Storyboard team to bring these hilarious stories to life! A partner who works well in a team environment enjoys bringing ideas to the table and is passionate about storytelling.

What We Need:

• Think outside the box! What can we try that nobody else has? We want to experiment and explore these ideas with you!
• Collaborate with the Directors, Supervisors, and Client to discuss storytelling direction, design requirements, and expected level of polish for each episode.
• Provide 3 stages of Storyboards - from thumbnails to roughs, to digitally polished storyboard panels, with attention to clarity and entertainment value.
• Talent for staging, shot composition, screen direction, and cutting for effective Storytelling.
• Ensuring continuity from shot-to-shot in assigned sequences, as well as collaborating with other story artists to ensure continuity from sequence to sequence.
• Ensure storyboards align with the creative goals of the leadership team, deadlines, and storytelling objectives.
• Provide status updates, troubleshoot, and review potential changes on a regular basis with production staff.
• Strong ability to work as a team with directors and supervisors, accepting creative criticism and feedback where needed with the knowledge that the creative process is all about development.
• A great sense of humor is ideal.

Your Experience, Talents, and Abilities:

• Industry experience as a storyboard artist with a focus on action and/or comedy.
• Experience boarding for 3D CG-series is a definite asset.
• Excellent drawing and staging skills with a demonstrated sense of storytelling, staging, composition, camera work and character acting
• Proven ability to manage time and meet deadlines
• Advanced knowledge of Storyboard Pro
• Understanding digital file management protocols.
• Able to work efficiently on a timeline, while maintaining consistency and quality
• Eligible to work in B.C or Ontario
