This Regular Part Time Stores I position at Sturgeon Community Hospital, performs a variety of tasks associated with the picking, packaging, shipping and receiving orders for hospital supplies, equipment and/or food in accordance with established Alberta Health Services' standards and practices. Duties include; receiving supplies, including direct purchase orders; unpacking and stocking supplies, equipment and/or food ensuring appropriate documentation is completed; ensure proper rotation of supplies and completes quality assurance of stock to minimize waste; maintain accurate inventory records by reporting deficiencies and/or damages to appropriate stakeholders; record and control items for return or further shipment, and maintain the organization and cleanliness of the stock room, freezers and coolers. The successful candidate will be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with speed and accuracy. Ability to maintain confidentiality while showing respect to all people is essential. Work under pressure in high stress situations. Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, and other hospital departments. Demonstrate critical thinking skills and initiative. Work as an effective, professional team member. Demonstrate a patient first approach as outlined in the AHS Foundational Strategies.
Description:
As a Stores I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with the picking, packaging, shipping and receiving of orders for hospital supplies, equipment and/or food in accordance with AHS guidelines and standards. You will process incoming requisitions and distribute supplies, complete cart audits for quality assurance and communicates frequently with stakeholders to ensure appropriate and correct quantity of supplies are available. In addition, you will track and report on inventory to ensure over stocking does not occur.
