Your Opportunity:Reporting to the Supervisor Site Services, this position is responsible for creating replenishment orders for end users supply cart locations utilizing handheld computer. Provides support to Patient Care units, ensuring units are supplied with inventory by means of top-up replenishment module or direct order as appropriate. Responsible for maintaining end user supply carts and maintenance of the cart inventory integrity. This position is responsible for receiving and the verification of inbound orders from the Regional Warehouse in accordance with proper and prudent practices as outlined by departmental procedures. This position is also responsible for the receipt and distribution of material and equipment from vendors and for coordinating/processing outgoing shipments; this will directly involve receiving, inspecting, verifying and accepting or rejecting all supplies and equipment delivered to the hospital. Common functions will include data entry and origination utilizing a variety of software programs such as Oracle, MS Excel and MS Word. This position is responsible for maintaining auditable records in a timely, tidy and accurate manner; for maintaining a clean, safe and organized work environment utilizing good storage distribution techniques and proper handling procedures to ensure the integrity of the product; for actively contributing to a safe and productive team working environment as well as participating in the training/orientation of new staff. As a member of the Site Services department, the Stores Attendant will perform other related duties as required.Description:As a Stores I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with the picking, packaging, shipping and receiving of orders for hospital supplies, equipment and/or food in accordance with AHS guidelines and standards. You will process incoming requisitions and distribute supplies, complete cart audits for quality assurance and communicates frequently with stakeholders to ensure appropriate and correct quantity of supplies are available. In addition, you will track and report on inventory to ensure over stocking does not occur.

Required Qualifications:Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Must be capable of pushing and pulling heavy wheeled carts up to and occasionally exceeding 275 Kgs. Must be capable of walking and or standing for long periods of time. Must regularly use hand and arms to reach, lift, and carry heavy items up to 25 kg. Additional Required Qualifications:Must be competent in a computerized Windows environment. Must have current and relevant inventory management experience / education. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must be competent utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Must be capable of understanding and accurately following complex and detailed instructions. Must be capable of performing basic mathematical functions; possess high standards of accuracy; be detail orientated; requiring minimal supervision; reliable; possess strong interpersonal/Customer Service skills, working safely and maintaining confidentiality. CSA Certified Safety Footwear is mandatory for this position. Preferred Qualifications:Current experience with Inventory Management software programs, experience with both manual and powered material handling equipment, experience with CPSM Site Services policies and procedures.
