Driftwood Gift Shop, a family-owned retail store in Tofino, BC, is seeking a reliable and experienced Retail Store Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring excellent customer service in a fast-paced, seasonal tourist environment.

Key Duties:

Plan, organize, and manage the day-to-day operations of the store Supervise, train, and schedule sales staff Manage inventory, order merchandise, and coordinate with suppliers Develop and maintain attractive product displays and promotions Monitor sales performance and prepare sales reports Handle customer concerns and ensure a positive shopping experience Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies Participate in hiring and performance evaluations of staff Oversee cash handling and daily financial balancing

Requirements:

Completion of secondary school required; post-secondary education in business or retail management an asset Minimum 1-2 years of experience in retail management or supervisory role Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Familiarity with inventory control and POS systems an asset

Busy retail store in a popular tourist destination Requires standing for extended periods and lifting up to 20 lbs Team-oriented workplace with opportunities for growth
