Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Store Manager - Retail
to lead our retail operations in Moncton, NB. This leadership role is ideal for someone with a strong background in retail sales, inventory management, and team supervision, particularly in the building materials or construction industry. The Store Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving sales performance, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the retail store, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
Lead, train, and supervise retail staff to achieve performance goals and uphold company standards.
Manage inventory levels, order stock, and maintain product displays in coordination with warehouse and production teams.
Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets and expand customer base.
Build strong relationships with contractors, builders, and retail customers.
Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense control.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
Handle escalated customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and care.
Prepare and present sales and operational reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in business, sales, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 1-3 years of experience in retail management; experience in building materials, hardware, or construction supply is a strong asset.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficient with POS systems, Microsoft Office, and inventory management software.
Ability to read blueprints and understand construction terminology is a plus.
Physically able to assist with stock handling and store organization as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.00-$36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 44 per week
