Job Summary

Jupako Pet is seeking a passionate and dedicated Store Intern(Placement) to join our team. This exciting opportunity is perfect for students pursuing careers in animal care, veterinary services, retail pet store, or pet grooming, offering hands-on experience in a supportive, professional environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in bathing, grooming, and brushing/drying dogs and cats, ensuring they are cleaned and well-groomed. Ensure the store maintains high standards of cleanliness and hygiene by thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing all areas, including floors, shelves, and display units. Organizing inventory to create a safe and welcoming environment for both customers and animals. Regularly check and sanitize pet care stations, grooming areas, and animal enclosures to uphold safety and health protocols. Additionally, assist in the maintenance of the overall store layout, ensuring that all areas are tidy, well-organized, and visually appealing. Support the store team in organizing pet related products, inventory management, preparing animal food, and stocking shelves. Provide general assistance to customers regarding pet care and products. Observe and learn grooming techniques under the guidance of professional groomers and senior staff. Assist with any administrative tasks related to pet services.

Skills

Animal Handling Skills:

Basic understanding of animal behavior and handling techniques, with a keen interest in learning more about animal care and grooming practices.

Strong attention to detail when performing grooming tasks, cleaning, and organizing to ensure a high level of cleanliness and proper animal care.

Ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors. Clear communication is essential for assisting customers with product inquiries and pet care recommendations.

Ability to maintain an organized work environment by managing grooming tools, pet care products, and store inventory efficiently.

Ability to stand for extended periods, handle animals of various sizes and temperaments, and perform tasks such as bathing, grooming, and cleaning.

Strong customer service skills, including the ability to address customer needs, provide product recommendations, and ensure a positive in-store experience.
