What you will be doing:
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitizing of all surfaces
  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness throughout the kitchen, as well as food preparation work areas as required
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools including the dish washing machine, hand wash stations and pot scrubbing station
  • Must be capable of working effectively both unsupervised and within a team environment
  • Weekly deep clean of the back of the house
  • Keeping floors and work areas clear of hazards and obstruction
  • Responsible of the operation of kitchen cleaning equipment
QualificationsYour experience and skills include:
  • Organized and a great team player
  • Hotel and restaurant work experience an asset
  • Must be able to work varying shifts
  • Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, withstand repetitive walking, reaching, and bending for long periods of time
  • Must be able to safely lift up to 40 lbs
  • Passionate about maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Understand WHMIS
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene
