Your Role and Responsibilities

The Sterling OMS Architect is responsible for evaluating and solutioning complex Digital Commerce platforms for large-scale organizations across all sectors for IBM Global Business Services. In this role, the architect must be able to shape, sell, and deliver digital programs and solutions to existing and prospective clients. Responsible and accountable for development teams, you will also have indirect responsibility for revenue growth in solutioning, estimating and positioning offerings to drive client outcomes from proposal to implementation. You must be able to build trusted client relationships, including at the C level and have the ability to handle ambiguity and create opportunity from complexity. The architect is accountable for the solutions implemented and responsible for client satisfaction and profitability for projects led.

The Sterling OMS Architect must be a proven team leader with critical thinking skills. They will have a proven track record in managing diverse teams delivering against tight deadlines in fast paced and demanding environment. The role demands a strong a sense of urgency as well as communication skills to ensure the team is quality, results and outcomes focused.
The ideal candidate is a digital thought leader and industry subject matter expert. They will have significant experience in digital channels, omni-channel, eco-systems and integrated back-end systems with a depth of knowledge in enabling technologies such as: Front-end Web Technologies, Interactive Experience, Digital Strategy, eCommerce systems, Content Management Systems, Order Management Systems, Middleware Technologies and Data Management.
This role can be performed from Ontario, Alberta, and Saskatchewan

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 8 years of experience in digital, omni-channel, custom development and system integration technologies
At least 6 years of experience in a development and architecture role
At least 4 years of experience in proposal and business case development
At least 8 years of experience in product development and engineering
At least 6 years Industry Domain knowledge in one or two vertical industries, preferably Retail and Consumer Products
Subject Matter Expert in Sterling OMS, with strong understanding of Sterling OMS architecture (database modelling, integration and agent architecture, protocols, etc.), DOM, GIV, IV, Participant modelling, Payment Processing, Process Modelling, UI Customization, Reverse Logistics, Extensions and Customization capabilities, knowledge of System components, APIs, and related Interfaces
Should have experience in leading blueprint and assessments
Experience with integrating Sterling OMS and external systems.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience with Agile development methodology
Experience with industry leading Frameworks
Experience with microservices

Must have the ability to work in Canada without sponsorship.
