Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Sterilization Technician to join our dental practice. This vital role ensures the highest standards of infection control and sterilization of dental instruments, contributing to a safe and effective patient care environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental procedures, medical terminology, and sterilization protocols, with experience in dental assisting and familiarity with dental software such as Cleardent. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, professional setting dedicated to patient health and safety.

Duties



Properly clean, sterilize, and package dental instruments using approved techniques and equipment Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of all areas in the clinic Support the dental team by following established sterilization and infection control protocols Maintain sterilization logs and ensure compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines Prepare sterilized instruments for use in various dental procedures Support the dental team by providing sterile instruments promptly during patient appointments Adhere to all safety protocols related to infection control and hazardous material handling Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and reception staff to ensure smooth clinic operations Utilize dental software such as Cleardent for record keeping and tracking sterilization cycles

Qualifications



Prior experience in dental assisting or sterilization familiarity with Cleadent preferred but not required Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain strict sterilization standards Ability to follow detailed protocols and safety procedures accurately Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team Certification or training in infection control or sterilization techniques is desirable but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 40 per week
