Northern Dental Centre is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our dental team. This role is crucial in ensuring that all dental instruments are properly sterilized and maintained, adhering to strict safety and hygiene standards.
Responsibilities
Perform sterilization of dental instruments using autoclaves and other sterilization equipment.
Ensure that all instruments are cleaned, organized, and stored appropriately after sterilization.
Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
Assist in the preparation of treatment areas by ensuring all necessary tools are available and sterile.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.
Monitor inventory levels of sterilization supplies and report shortages as needed.
Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on best practices in sterilization techniques.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a sterilization technician or in dental assisting is preferred.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
