Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our Orthodontic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and sterile environment by ensuring that all Orthodontic instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized, and prepared for use. This position requires a strong understanding of terminology and sterilization protocols, along with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Perform cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of orthodontic instruments according to established protocols. Operate sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners, ensuring proper functionality. Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and monitor equipment performance. Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying supervisors when stock is low. Collaborate with dental assistants and receptionists to ensure timely preparation of instruments for procedures. Adhere to safety guidelines and infection control standards at all times. Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on best practices in sterilization techniques.
