Clean, disinfect, package, and sterilize dental instruments according to IPAC and manufacturer guidelines
Monitor sterilization equipment (autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, etc.) and perform routine maintenance
Conduct and document sterilization tests (biological indicators, chemical indicators, and spore testing)
Maintain sterilization and infection control logs in compliance with Public Health Ontario standards
Operatory & Equipment Preparation
Set up and dismantle operatories between patients, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques
Disinfect and prepare treatment rooms, dental chairs, and equipment
Ensure all instruments and materials are stocked and ready for procedures
Infection Prevention & Safety
Follow and enforce proper infection control protocols throughout the office
Handle and dispose of sharps and biomedical waste safely and according to regulations
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IPAC best practices and assist with staff training when required
Inventory & Organization
Monitor and manage inventory of sterilization supplies, disinfectants, and PPE
Organize and maintain sterilization and storage areas to ensure efficiency and compliance
