Position Summary





The Estimating Coordinator will log and organize customer RFQ's ensuring that the estimators have all the information required to complete their Estimates. The Estimating Coordinator works closely with the Business Development team, Customer service, Customers and Vendors to maintain an organized Estimating system.


Primary Responsibilities:




Receive RFQ, Drawings, Specs and any other pertinent information from Business Development, Customer Service, customer communications or from customer websites. Create new digital quote folder to include drawings, specifications, EAU, RFQ letter and all relevant information. Check drawings & BOM upon receipt and enter new quote into the RFQ and Estimate Tracker. Notify the Business Development team after setting up a new quote with assigned Quote # and customer. Maintain and update the RFQ and Estimate Tracker. Request any missing information that may not have been included in the customer's RFQ. Provide support to Estimators and build BOM in estimate sheets. Aid the estimators in sending out vendor RFQ's. Provide cost comparison if a new quote is to replace a current part or in the event of an Engineering change. Investigate the changes and the cost impact.

Educational Requirements:




Grade twelve education or equivalent. Post-Secondary education in related field.

Required Skills & Expertise:




Knowledge of manufacturing processes. Ability to read blueprints. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with ERP systems. Ability to effectively multitask. Attention to detail. Excellent communication skills written and verbal. Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment.

Equipment/ Tools/ Technology Used:



Microsoft Office, Visual Manufacturing ERP, CAD software.

Physical Demands:



Sitting for long periods of time, some walking, standing. Repetitive use of hands and fingers to operate computer keyboard and other office equipment
