Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Sterilization Assistant to join our dental team. This vital role ensures the proper sterilization and preparation of dental instruments, maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. The ideal candidate will support clinical staff by managing sterilization procedures, handling medical documentation, and assisting with various dental assisting tasks. Prior experience in dental clinics, familiarity with EMR systems, and knowledge of dental terminology are highly valued to ensure smooth clinic operations and excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

Properly sterilize and disinfect dental instruments using approved aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Prepare sterilized instruments for use in various dental procedures, ensuring readiness for clinical staff. Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, instrument inventory, and medical documentation . Maintain cleanliness and organization of sterilization areas following infection control standards. Assist with inventory management of dental supplies and equipment including 3D scanners and medical imaging tools. Collaborate effectively with team members to promote a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for patients.

Requirements

Prior experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare environment is preferred. Understanding of aseptic techniques and anatomy knowledge relevant to dental procedures. Ability to handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure proper sterilization processes are followed consistently. Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
