We are hiring STEM Instructors
for full day camps, afterschool and weekend programs. This Is suitable for candidates who are interested in permeant or seasonal positions.
Engineering For Kids has been delivering interactive, hands-on S.T.E.M classes and camps in Vancouver since 2021. We strongly believe that children learn best when they're fully immersed and having a great time. And it's just as important for our staff to have fun as well!
We're looking for passionate, enthusiastic
STEM Instructors
who are excited to share this fun (and educational!) camp experience with children ages 4-14.
Training: support and training will be provided before first shift and additional trainings would be provided as needed
Camps: Weekdays 8:30am -4:00 pm (camps run 9am -3 pm) during Pro-D days, winter, Spring Break and summer breaks
Weekend programs between 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, various lengths in shifts
Locations: programs are held at various community centers across Greater Vancouver. Willingness to travel is a must.
Pay range: $19.50 - 22.00 plus 4% vacation pay. Pay dependent on experience and competencies.

Primary Responsibilities:
Include, but are not limited to the following:
Travel to locations and work alongside a co-leader or camp leader to deliver assigned curriculum.
Provide appropriate instruction that considers the unique abilities of every student
Create and maintain a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for all
Develop regular opportunities for student engagement
Support students in groups and on an individual basis
Act as a role model for youth who look up to you!
Be professional, courteous and approachable to students, parents, and staff
Follow policies around creating an inclusive environment, safety, dress code, and other policies
Have a can-do attitude and willing to learn
Secondary Responsibilities:
Guide and support an Assistant Camp Leader
Provide feedback on curriculum
You are someone who:
Has worked with children (experience managing large groups is an asset)
Can break down and explain challenging concepts in a way that children can relate
Has experience in the service industry and understands the importance of customer service
Can communicate clearly and concisely and enjoys speaking in front of groups of children
Can think on your feet and find solutions to everyday class/camp issues or challenges
Has a real interest and experience in S.T.E.M fields - particularly: engineering, robotics, coding, Minecraft, 3D printing
Has a real interest in teaching and engaging children through hands-on play and activities
Must have/Be willing to obtain:
Clean police check to work with children (within last 6 months)
Personal Laptop
Vehicle or willing to travel to various locations within Greater Vancouver
Knowledge and experience in 3D printing, coding, and game developments are strong assets!

Pay: $19.50-$22.00 per hour
