We are looking for Steel Welder/Fabricators
to join our shipyard's diverse team of welder/fabricators, woodworkers, mechanics, machinists, painters, and sandblasters. Marine-specific experience is ideal but not required; experienced welders with an interest in learning the marine industry through on-the-job training are more than welcome!
Responsibilities
Weld steel in all positions - training provided for specific skill gaps
Weld in enclosed/confined spaces and high elevations
Set up and troubleshoot welding/burning equipment
Read drawings and weld procedures
Use basic hand tools

Supporting other team members and trades
Skills and Experience
Required: Steel welding education and/or experience - must have or be ready to pass CWB certification (all positions) for steel
Required: Ability to work at heights, outdoors, and in confined spaces
Asset: Forklift, crane, confined space and/or fall protection certification (training available)
Required: Team-player with a positive attitude and the ability to execute quality work safely and efficiently
Asset: Knowledge of marine vessels/systems and associated trades
Other Details
Full-time permanent (or contract if you prefer), available immediately, Monday - Friday, 8-hour daytime shifts
$35-$45 per hour depending on experience and education, with opportunities for training and advancement in marine industry trades
