What you will do...

Instruct and examine National Lifeguard and Standard First Aid courses, including full certifications and recertifications. Deliver engaging, inclusive, and safe instruction to diverse groups of participants of varying abilities. Plan and organize courses using both short-term and long-term lesson planning strategies. Set up and take down training spaces and equipment, ensuring all materials are prepared and organized. Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required. Build strong relationships with participants and peers, fostering a welcoming and respectful learning environment. Provide motivation, encouragement, and constructive feedback to support participant success. Submit all required paperwork to the Lifesaving Society in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain all required certifications and stay current with Lifesaving Society standards.

What you will bring...

Current certifications as a Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard Instructor and Standard First Aid Instructor/Examiner. Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching and examining lifesaving and first aid courses. Experience facilitating programs for people of all ages; ability to respond sensitively to diverse needs. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to creating socially inclusive environments. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
