Under the general direction of the Manager, Operations, the incumbent is responsible for supporting the Professional Experience Year (PEY) Co-op programming including student programming, employer development efforts, the PEY Edge conference, workshops, industry information sessions and career fairs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conceptualizing, organizing and executing event activities
  • Analyzing client needs and making recommendations on event logistics and options
  • Coordinating the schedule for program and event calendars
  • Overseeing space and resource requirements for events and related programming
  • Conducting post-event evaluation, analysis and recommendations for changes
  • Developing content for marketing and/or promotional materials
  • Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance
  • Planning and estimating financial resources required for programs and/or projects
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
  • Minimum five years of related experience in event coordination or program delivery
  • Experience planning and estimating financial resources required for events and/or projects, as well as monitoring and tracking expenses
  • Excellent project coordination and event management skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and the promotion of a respectful and collegial learning and working environment
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, databases and web (blogs, social media, email newsletters, etc.)
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing tasks and deadlines
  • Positive energy with a can-do attitude, and collaborative team player who can also work autonomously
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to effectively balance the needs of multiple stakeholders
  • Good judgement, tact and discretion and able to resolve issues, problems and competing goals
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Flexible and adaptable to work outside of core hours
