Staff Supply Chain Engineer

Job Description


Role Summary The Staff Supply Chain Engineer will work alongside our Supply Chain Team to lead the planning and definition of the organization’s continuous improvement projects. Snapshot of Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the ERP system adequately supports internal supply chain functions (i.e., purchasing, production planning, logistics, etc.)
  • Responsible for independent planning, implementation and effectiveness check of significant supply chain improvement or cost saving projects.
  • Creates or improves tools and processes required to ensure operational supply chain teams achieve business objectives in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
  • Take action to achieve cost reductions or improve cost effectiveness as assigned.
  • Initiates and reviews supplier contracts for both production and non-production parts.
  • Liaise between suppliers, legal and relevant business stakeholders to ensure contracts executed with acceptable terms for the organization.
  • Take a lead role in complex negotiations and Operational Excellence projects.
  • Adhere to and promote the adherence to all Corporate, Quality and Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as required.
What you bring to the team
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field is required.
  • 3-4 years of supply chain or continuous improvement experience.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Experience working with an ERP system.
  • Experience working in an ISO or Quality Management work environment.
  • Training or certification in supply chain management is preferred.
