Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospital pharmacy, with experience in acute care and pediatrics. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care through effective medication management and patient education. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes for patients.

Responsibilities

Review and interpret medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness. Prepare and dispense medications, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations. Conduct medication therapy management, providing consultations to patients and healthcare providers. Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient care activities. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care strategies. Stay current with medical terminology and advancements in pharmacotherapy.

Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution. Active pharmacist license in the state of practice. Hospital experience preferred, particularly in acute care settings. Experience in pediatrics is a plus. Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration protocols. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interactions. Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes.
