Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care by ensuring safe and effective medication management. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to enhancing patient outcomes within a hospital setting.

Duties

Review and interpret physician orders to ensure safe and effective medication therapy. Provide patient care services, including medication counseling and education on proper medication administration. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient treatment plans, particularly in acute care and pediatrics. Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust therapy as necessary based on clinical guidelines. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of medication therapies. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and hospital policies regarding medication management. Participate in pharmacy rounds and contribute to interdisciplinary team discussions regarding patient care.

Experience

A B.Sc. Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution is required. Active pharmacist license in BC.. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
