Staff Accountant (Full-Time position)




Job Location - Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid)





As a key member of the Finance Team, the Staff Accountant will support our accounting operations and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for collecting month-end reports and statements, book journal entries into our accounting system, and conducting thorough reviews and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.


Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities




Collect, organize, and review month-end financial reports and statements to ensure completeness and accuracy. Accurately book journal entries into the NetSuite accounting system, adhering to established procedures and accounting principles. Conduct detailed reviews of booked transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Assist in the integration of financial data from newly acquired entities, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with company practices. Work closely with the accounting and finance team to address discrepancies and provide insights into financial data. Identify opportunities to improve data collection, reporting processes, and accounting workflows to enhance efficiency.

What you will need to be successful




Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2 to 3 years of accounting experience Solid understanding of GAAP. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, specifically in Excel Highly organized with the ability to prioritize workflow and meet deadlines Ability to work with highly confidential information with professionalism and tact Currently enrolled in the CPA (CA, CMA, CGA) program will be an asset Exposure to multi-entity environment an asset Exposure to NetSuite an asset
