They\xe2\x80\x99re looking for you: an experienced and competent accountant who can help them move to the next steps of growth and financial success. What you will be doing: As a Staff Accountant - you will be reporting to the US tax Partner and will be responsible for preparing personal and corporate tax returns for Canada and the US, including provincial and state. Practically speaking, you will: * Prepare personal and corporate tax returns for Canada and the US, including provincial and state * Prepare financial statements and accounting engagements * Manage deadlines for multiple returns and engagements to ensure filing is completed on a timely basis * File extensions for US tax deadlines when needed for personal and corporate clients * Support other team members in the US department and within the company * Communicate with the governing tax bodies to ensure deadlines are met and provide information when needed * Research tax regulations related to US and Canadian tax, and how they work together - Work directly under the US tax partner to learn and complete special projects. The Details * This is a full-time permanent position with a Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm schedule in the client\xe2\x80\x99s Calgary office. * This position offers Competitive wages, Standard Healthcare Benefit Plan, vacation, career advancement. What you will bring: * Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance or related field * 5-10 years of experience in working in Canadian Tax * US tax cross border knowledge * Canadian CPA or working towards Canadian CPA * Willingness to work cohesively with other team members to get projects completed * Being able to manage multiple projects at once and being able to meet strict deadlines * Strong analytics and organizational skills * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel * Excellent communication skills Strong asset: * US CPA designation * US tax cross border experience * Previous work in tax software programs (Ultra tax, TaxPrep, Caseware) How to Apply: We value diversity and inclusion and encourage all qualified people to apply.
