About the Role

As our

Staff Accountant (Accounting Generalist)

, you'll support our Finance team in keeping the organization's financial operations running smoothly. From reconciling accounts to preparing reports, you'll play a key role in ensuring accuracy and compliance--all while working part-time hours that fit into your life.

What You'll Do

Manage

day-to-day accounting

tasks: accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations, journal entries. Assist in the preparation of

financial reports

for leadership, funders, and our Board of Directors. Support

compliance and filings

, including HST/GST and payroll remittances. Assist with

budget monitoring

and variance analysis. Help with the

annual audit process

and maintain fixed asset records.

What You Bring

Education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or working toward it is an asset). 3-5 years of accounting experience in a non-profit organization. Strong knowledge of

Canadian GAAP and CRA requirements

. Proficiency with accounting software (Sage or similar). Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently. Ability to balance multiple priorities in a
