Staff Accountant - Excellent opportunity for an Aspiring Accountant

CRSP CPA Corp., is a North-Shore based CPA firm providing accounting, bookkeeping, tax and valuation services. We are a close-knit team with a collaborative, inclusive and entrepreneurial company culture. Our office is based in central North Vancouver, conveniently located a 5 min walk from Lonsdale Quay Market, close to restaurants, coffee shops and transit.

We are looking for a

Staff Accountant

to join our team. This full-time permanent position is an excellent opportunity if you are planning to start the CPA Program (or already enrolled) and looking to join a small but growing public accounting firm. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, with autonomy and strong mentorship and coaching support.

Main Responsibilities

Assisting clients with financial reporting including profit and loss statements, bank statements, and cash flow analysis Assisting clients with financial monitoring, including bank deposits, bank reconciliations, recording sales transactions, expenses monitoring, invoice payments, and payroll Assisting clients with tax compliance including personal and corporate income tax, GST, PST, payroll source deductions, EHT and WCB Maintaining confidentiality of clients' information Providing excellent customer service Communicating clearly with clients and team members

What We Are Looking For

As our ideal candidate you are motivated, team-oriented and solutions-focused. You will also have:

An understanding of accounting concepts, supported by relevant work, co-op or study experience Post-secondary education in accounting or equivalent Completion of prerequisite courses to register for the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP) Experience with a couple of the following would be considered an asset: Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Sage, Receipt Bank, or Plooto.
