Overview



Seeking an experienced, dedicated, and detail orientated Staff Accountant with experience in a manufacturing (multi-site and multi-currency) environment to join and support our finance team. This is a full-time role and required to be on-site Monday to Friday. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records and promoting efficient operations within a dynamic company.

About the Role:



This Staff Accountant position involves performing daily and core accounting operations with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Key responsibilities include:



Reviewing and accurately processing employee expense reports, verifying compliance with company policies and assigning correct general ledger classifications.

Managing and reconciling prepaid expenses and systemic amortization.

Providing essential support for Accounts Receivable and Purchasing functions, including cash application, monitoring collections, and maintaining accurate customer ledgers.

Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.

Perform monthly cost analysis to ensure standard costing of inventory is accurate.

Backup for inventory control analyst, enter production and inventory records with third party warehouses.



Month-End, Reporting & Compliance



Actively participating in the month-end and year-end close processes, preparing and posting journal entries, and performing thorough general ledger account reconciliations.

Preparing and posting monthly accruals to accurately reflect financial obligations and expenses.

Contributing to the timely preparation of financial statements and reports in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards.

Assisting with the accurate preparation and timely filing of various tax returns and remittances, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Supporting the Controller in maintaining robust internal controls and ensuring financial data integrity.

About You

:
We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual with

a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

The ideal candidate will have

5+ years of progressive experience in an accounting role, in the manufacturing or consumer goods sector.



Additional Essential qualifications include:



Solid understanding and practical application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Proven proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems and all Microsoft applications is required.

Experience with Multicurrency Accounting and Canadian tax compliance is essential.

Experience with accounting tools - Financial Calculators, Accounting Books, Spreadsheeting etc. is required.

Posses' strong mathematical aptitude and thorough knowledge of accounts payable/receivable, purchasing inventory and standard costing within a manufacturing environment.

Valid G Driver's License.
