We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting financial reporting processes. Responsibilities
Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and month-end closing procedures.
Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
Perform cash flow analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support financial planning.
Assist with regulatory reporting requirements
Maintain accurate records using accounting software such as QuickBooks
Support tax preparation activities and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial analysis projects and special assignments.
Skills
Strong knowledge of GAAP, technical accounting standards, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks and Sage
Expertise in financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and account analysis.
Ability to interpret financial reports and prepare detailed financial statements.
Skilled in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report writing; familiarity with other financial software is a plus.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform financial statement interpretation, cash flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and auditing tasks.
