CPA Plus is a fast-growing cloud based Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) firm focused on providing the best accounting and tax solutions to our clients while maintaining exceptional client service.

Our Laperriere office is currently looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to grow our tax and bookkeeping team. The successful candidate will be a qualified CPA with a desire to join a dynamic, growing firm. The candidate will own the following responsibilities:

Complete monthly, quarterly and annual bookkeeping for clients in Quickbooks Online and Quickbooks Desktop Prepare Compilation Engagement Reports for small businesses Prepare corporate tax returns Prepare government filings (payroll, GST/HST, WSIB, EHT) Preparation of T4 and T5 slips Developing and documenting procedures and workflows, which will be used by other staff members Support and train junior staff members Reviewing junior staff's work Provide excellent client service Manage tax compliance needs of clients Keep informed of current tax developments and effectively apply tax knowledge Identifying, researching and solving technical accounting and tax related issues Respond to various queries and requests from clients

Qualification & Skills



CPA, CA, CGA, or CMA designation or significant process toward obtainment of designation Minimum of 3 years of recent Canadian Public Accounting experience Minimum of 2 years experience in a bookkeeping role Strong Canadian ASPE knowledge Good working knowledge of tax software Good working knowledge of Quickbooks Online and Quickbooks Desktop Strong financial acumen and analytical skills Detail oriented, organized and able to meet tight deadlines Excel and MS Office with a high proficiency level QuickBooks Advanced Accreditation preferred Experience with other cloud-based accounting apps (i.e. Dext, Hub Doc, Pro Tax) preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
