Position Summary

RTR Media Inc. is looking for a Staff Accountant to assist with the day-to-day accounting activities of the parent company and select US and Canadian non-scripted shows on a part-time, permanent basis. The position will report to the Director of Finance.

Responsibilities

? Process accounts payable and ensure payments in a timely manner

? Prepare and process day-to-day accounting activities of select companies including journal entries and bank reconciliations

? Prepare sales invoices, and manage all receivables to ensure timely collection

? Responsible for all payroll activities including timely inputting of timesheets, prompt payment, and entry in accounting software

? Reconciliation and data entry of company credit cards

? Assist with month-end reporting including bank/credit card reconciliations

? Assist with month-end and statutory reporting

? Ensure accurate and appropriate accounting records are maintained to enable the statutory obligations of the company are met

? Take initiative to identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls with a focus on building efficiency and effectiveness

? Assist team with ad hoc tasks and projects as they arise

Desired Qualifications

? Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or business administration is a must

? An independent and self-motivated individual with a strong prioritization mindset committed to meeting deadlines and getting things done

? Good verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels within the organization

? Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

? Strong ability to learn new software and skills

? Ability to learn new tasks and applications

? Strong attention to detail
