The Headlines :
In the role of Packaging Team Leader working at the St. John\xe2\x80\x99s Brewery, the successful candidate will be responsible for safely managing the shift operation and supporting the Packaging team\xe2\x80\x99s continuous improvement efforts. He/she leads the execution and sustainability of World Class Supply Chain (WCSC) efforts for the packaging area and teams through a process of involvement, coaching and personal leadership. 40 hours per week, generally rotates Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm or Monday to Thursday 2pm to 12am, or a middle shift of 8am to 4pm. The Responsibilities :
- Work with our World Class Supply Chain (WCSC) Team and WCSC methodology to Lead the packaging teams on a shiftly basis with a PCQDSM mindset; administering the terms of the collective bargaining agreement and with safety and quality as key guideposts for all decision making.
- Ensures that daily production targets are met, and brewery teams are operating in a clean, organized, safe and productive work environment. Uses Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to optimize team performance and make decisions to improve and optimize throughout the work areas.
- Interprets production plan schedule requirements and works with the teams to organize team members and equipment/material resources to execute the plan. Offers suggestions to improve the plan if possible. Works with the teams to analyze the team\'s actual production output against schedule and adjusts the production plan accordingly.
- Support new material/product/brand launches and trial authorities.
- Develops a strong team of individuals capable of delivering to the business with excellence and impact. This will be achieved with strong attention to performance management, holding employees accountable and employee development primarily through on-the-job work assignments.
The Other Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience in a high-speed, manufacturing environment
- Food and beverage experience an asset
