The Opportunity

The Intelligence & Technical Analyst, Intelligence (\xe2\x80\x9cSr. Analyst\xe2\x80\x9d) is responsible for performing sophisticated data mining, analysis and research and preparing intelligence reports for use by the Bank Investigative Services on pattern recognition and identification of financial crime trends to reduce exposure is also a requirement. The Sr. Analyst is required to correspond with partners specific to financial and cybercrime intelligence through technical dashboards. As a Sr. Analyst, this role works with the Director, Bank Investigative Services and will have superior working relationships with Bank departments which support Investigative Services\' directive within the Bank.

Responsibilities

Financial Crime Intelligence

Understand and seek out sources for financial crime intelligence that complements the Bank Investigative Services strategy and directive for financial crime disruption

Consult with financial crime intelligence partners within other Financial Institutions and/or Law Enforcement to ensure timely useful intelligence

Perform quantitative and qualitative assessments on those sources to validate the integrity of the data sets received

Evaluate the intelligence received to resolve if immediate and/or remedial action needs to be taken to protect the Bank and its customers

Data & Reporting Analyst

Research, organize, analyze, assess and integrate information for investigative and intelligence purposes

Proficient in data manipulation practices using available internal and external data repositories

Sophisticated database skills and computer programming

Financial crime reporting evidenced through investigative dashboards

Project Support

Support key projects and provide guidance to Bank partners for initiatives

Act as a representative of Bank Investigative Services ensuring timely and flawless data flow

Understand how data is used, sourced and accessibility of the data

The Intelligence Analyst uses exceptional technical skills and the ability to understand and source financial crime threats to assist in the disruption of financial crime at the Bank. Demonstrating versatility and adaptability the Intelligence Analyst creates and prepares technical dashboards, guiding the investigative directive and capitalizes on opportunities to seek out all-source intelligence.

What we are looking for

7+ years professional experience in Bank Risk, Fraud/Security or Anti-Money Laundering function specific to financial crime data analytics and reporting

University degree, community college diploma or equivalent work experience in financial crime intelligence, risk analytics or technical analytics

Sophisticated database, intelligence analytics and computer programming skills complimenting deep technical knowledge of computer operating networks

Demonstrable ability to fit into multi-discipline team, integrating into an investigative team approach

Thorough knowledge of Canadian financial industry, supporting systems and processes

Proven knowledge of PIPEDA, AMLATF, other regulations relating to Canadian financial services

Possesses highest ethical standards and experience working with sensitive and confidential information

High attention to detail, ability to handle and prioritize numerous tasks and adapt swiftly to changing business needs to meet deadlines

Sophisticated OSINT research skills

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Bilingualism an asset

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location CAN, Ontario - Full Time Remote

Salary range is expected to be between $55,125.00 CAD - $91,875.00 CAD
